Editorial Policy

At Meadow Travels, our goal is simple: to give you honest, practical travel information you can actually use. This page explains how we research, write, update, and fund our content, so you know what to expect from every guide on the site.

Meadow Travels was founded by Renshaw Carey, who writes and reviews our travel guides, itineraries, and packing lists. Every guide is written to answer the real questions travelers have before a trip: where to stay, when to go, what it costs, and what to pack.

We build our guides from reliable, up-to-date sources, including:

  • Official tourism boards and destination websites
  • Airline websites for baggage and carry-on rules
  • Government sources for passport, visa, entry, and safety information
  • Hotel, attraction, and tour operator websites for prices and opening hours
  • Weather and climate data for our “best time to visit” guides
  • Our own travel experience, where it applies

When a detail can’t be confirmed from a reliable source, we don’t present it as fact.

Honest, not hyped. We tell you what’s worth it, what’s overrated, and what it actually costs. If something isn’t worth your time or money, we say so.

Real numbers. We give real prices, real travel times, and real trade-offs, not vague promises. Prices are estimates and are shown as a guide, not a guarantee.

Clear and practical. We write in plain language, organize guides so you can find answers quickly, and focus on information that helps you plan.

Connected guides. Each destination’s when-to-go, where-to-stay, things-to-do, and itinerary guides are linked together, so you can plan a whole trip in one place.

Travel information changes often. We review our guides regularly, and every page shows the date it was last updated. The airline limits in our Luggage Size Checker are checked every few months.

When we update a guide, we review prices, opening hours, travel rules, and links, and we remove anything that’s no longer accurate.

We aim to be accurate, but mistakes can happen. If you spot outdated or incorrect information, please email us at contact@meadowtravels.com. Include the page link and what has changed. We review every correction request and update the page if needed.

Meadow Travels is free to use. Some pages include affiliate links, which means we may earn a small commission if you book or buy through them, at no extra cost to you.

Affiliate partnerships never decide what we recommend. We don’t rank, praise, or include a hotel, tour, or product because it pays us a commission. If a better option has no affiliate link, we still recommend it. You can read more in our Disclaimer.

We do not accept payment for positive reviews. If we are ever given a free or discounted stay, tour, or product, or if a post is sponsored, we will clearly label it. Our opinions remain our own.

This website shows ads, including ads from Google AdSense. Advertisers have no influence over our content, and ads are kept separate from our editorial recommendations.

We use our own photos and licensed images from trusted stock photo sources. We respect copyright. If you believe an image on our site belongs to you, please see our DMCA Policy.
